LIVE PERIOD #1 (July 8-12)

Our U15/9th Grade team competed in 2 events during the first week of the July Live Period, the first was the Elevate Hoops Summer Icebreaker (July 8-10).  The team went 2-1 at this event, losing by 1 to the Jersey Shore Warriors, beating Team Philly (Adidas Gauntlet Participant) by 20 and knocking off a very good VA Elite team by 1.  In their seconf event of the first week of the July Live Period, our U15/9th Grade team played in the Elevate Hoops Underarmour Showdown (July 11-12).  The team went 3-1 in this event, going 2-0 in pool play with blowout wins over Mid Atlantic Select and Baltimore Elite, then blowing out Team Philly (Adidas Gauntlet Participant) by 30 before losing to Team Final (Nike EYBL Participant) by 5 in the SEMIFINALS.

 

Our U16/10th Grade team competed in 2 events during the first week of the July Live Period, the first was the Elevate Hoops Summer Icebreaker (July 8-10).  The team went 1-2 in this event, losing to Team Final (Nike EYBL Participant) and Team Melo (Nike EYBL Participant) before blowing out Team AJ Price from NY.  In their seconf event of the first week of the July Live Period, our U16/10th Grade team played in the Elevate Hoops Underarmour Showdown (July 11-12).  The team went 1-2 in this event, blasting Real Resuts in the 1st Round before losing to Sports U/IZOD (UnderArmour Association Participant) by 1 in the 2nd Round.  In the consolation game, they lost another close one by 5 to Team Belief Jayhawks.

 

Our U17/11th Grade team went to The Hoop Group Elite Camp from July 7th to the 10th to start off the first week of the July Live Period.  While there, our combo guard DeVante Cross made the Top 40 All Star Game, a prestigous honor during an extremely talented and deep field of players.  In their seconf event of the first week of the July Live Period, our U17/11th Grade team played in the Elevate Hoops Underarmour Showdown (July 11-12).  In the first round of the Showdown, they beat the Keystone Blazers by 11, in the 2nd Round, they beat the Richmond Squires by 2, which put them into the QUARTERFINALS, where a very talented WeR1 (UnderArmour Association Participant) was too much for them.

 

LIVE PERIOD #2 (July 15-19)

Our U15/9th Grade players went to The Hoop Group Elite Camp (July 14-17) during the second week fo the July Live Period.  Many of them made a solid name for themselves while playing there, including Kyle Cardaci and Alex Mummert's teams reaching the Championship Game and Jared Kimbrough playing up with the 2016 and 2017 classes in the NBA East.

 

Our U16/10th Grade team went to The Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest (July17-19) during the second week of the July Live Period.  The team went 2-1 at this event.  They opened the event with a hard faught 10 point victory of the Nova Cavaliers before losing to the Albany City Rocks (Nike EYBL Participant) in the 2nd Round.  In their consolation game, they beat a solid Diamond State Titans team by 10.

 

Our U17/11th Grade team went to The Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest (July17-19) during the second week of the July Live Period.  In their opening round game, they overcame 12 3 pointers from Crown Basketball to beat them by 3.  In the 2nd round, they were beat by a very good DC Blue Devils team.  In their consolation game, they blasted the Philly Ballhawks by 25.

 

LIVE PERIOD #3 (July 22-26)

Our U15/9th Grade team played in 2 events during the third week of the July Live Period, the first was the prestigous Live in AC event.  They went 3-1 in this event, beating an extremely athletic Chattanooga Elite team from TN by 4 in OT in the opener before knocking off two feisty teams in Positive Direction (NY) and PYO (Philly) to reach the SEMIFINALS.  This was the second time during the July Live Period that our U15's made it to a Final 4 where they were the only non shoe company league team in it. Their run came to an end at the hands of the eventual tournament champion Team Takeover DC (Nike EYBL Participant) by 7.  In their second event during the 3rd week of the July Live Period, the U15's made it to the FINALS of the Elevate Hoops Summer Final.  They beat Mid Atlantic Select and Team Philly by 20+ before losing to Team Final (Nike EYBL Participant) by 7 in the Chip.

 

Our U16/10th Grade players went to the Hoop Group Academic Elite Camp to kick off the third week of the July Live Period.  During camp, 4 of their players, Jake Needleman, Daniel Weiss, Matt Dean, and PJ Ringle were recognized for their strong play by NJ Hoops.  In the second portion of the 3rd week of the July Live Period, our U16's played in the Elevate Hoops Summer Final.  They went 2-1 in this event.  They opened the event with a very solid overtime win over Baltimore Supreme, then they knocked off Mid Atlantic Select before losing to Competitive Edge Sports at the buzzer in the SEMIFINALS.

 

Our U17/11th Grade team played in 2 events during the third week of the July Live Period, the first was the prestigous Live in AC event.  They went 1-2 in this event.  In the first round, they lost to New Heights (UnderArmour Association Participant) by 1.  After that, they split their consolation games, beating Crown Basketball (NY) and losing to Competitive Edge Sports (PA).  In their second event during the 3rd week of the July Live Period, they went 1-1 at the Elevate Hoops Summer Final.  In the first game, they beat a very solid Team Final Black squad by 2.  In their second game, they lost to an ultra talented Maryland 3D team by 2.

As everyone knows, they July Live Period is totally geared around getting your players exposure.  All 3 of our HS age (U15-U17) teams played in 5 events during the 15 day July Live Period.  Our U17's played in front of 40+ Division I and II schools--

 

NJIT, Pace, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Albany, Quinnipiac, Central CT State, Monmouth, FDU, Navy, Boston Univ, Maine, American, Colgate, Columbia, Rider, Penn, Lafayette, Caldwell, Assumption, St. Peter's, Duquesne, Norfolk Felician, Cornell, Army, George Mason, Bucknell, Drexel, Bentley, Stonehill, Wagner, Delaware, GeorgeMason, Temple, St Joe's, Howard, LIU, Towson, Merrymack, St Michaels, and Adelphi.
